The sinking of Wakashio impacts local fishermen

MV Wakashio, a Japanese ship, was stranded on a coral reef on 25 July 2020. Spilling ¼ of the 4000 tonnes of fuel it was carrying. This caused an oil spill in Mauritius. This ecological disaster is affecting small Mauritian fishermen.
